The existing Labour planns for domestic Micro Wind Turbines. Limits ownership to wealthier class people who can afford the initial purchace cost of MCS approved and installed Equipment. Although the Goverment are offering Grants and high Feed in Tarrif rewards. These are only offerd after the owner has shelled out for the over priced expensive equipment. For less fortunate individuals who can only afford to purchace a wind turbine system in stages. Or from High Quality Manufacturers who's prices have not yet been inflated by MCS. Possibly doing the instalation themselves (Even if qualified in the relavent areas of expertise) the picture is far more bleak. If you are one of these less well off souls and you want to go green. Forget about getting any feed in tarrif payment as you wont get it. You will however face a barrage of council buracrocey much of which is pathetic, totaly pointless and in stark contrast to those who paid twice as much for an MCS approved machine. The realy odd thing is many of the MCS approved machines utilise old technology which is both noisey and a saftey hazard. Wheras other worldwide companies not part of the UK MCS are producing right up to date high tech modern technology which is both more efficient, safe and quieter for your neighbours.

It all starts to make complete sence when you discover that 100% of the MCS approved companies are all part of and pay fee's to the BWEA. The UK's leading trade accosiation representing the interests of their member companies and not those of the consumer. In most Countries this is known as a Cartel and an Iliegal Monopoly. That is what is wrong with the UK's Domestic wind Market right now.... There is nothing wrong with Available Technology !!
