A recent article in Power Engineering magazine (August 08) highlights the findings of a poll of renewables directors where over 50% of respondents think that there is a real risk of a bubble developing in the renewable energy sector, with high valuations being the leading cause of the failure of merger and acquisition efforts.

With Savills selling their 50% stake in Infinergy (wind energy business) for £23m when they have not even received planning consent for one turbine, memories come trickling back of a similar investor enthused industry…So will people get real or will the Industry bust…?
