I'd be surprised if the conservatives are up to tackling climate change since most of them don't believe it's an issue.

JOIN THE BATTLE OF GREEN BRITAIN

1. Join GREEN BRITAIN DAY: THE DAY that ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE, the French-government-owned nuclear energy company that ripped off our Green Union Jack, is stopped in its toxic tracks. EDF is not Green and it is not British. THE DAY that people living and working in the UK unplug EDF and commit to using nothing but their own energy to promote real green energy as a solution to climate change, jobs and future security needs. THE DAY we celebrate the end of the Great British Greenwash. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=106171060780&ref=ts

2. Complain to the advertising standards authority please. You must have seen a green union jack rip off on the telly, in a poster or on the internet by now. Without you we don’t have a chance. Please make yourself heard. http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/complaints_form/

2. Follow GreenBritainDay on twitter, it's not been up long and is low in numbers but it is rising fast in the google rankings and it will give us a presence among the growing number of EDF (spit) links. Thank you for supporting us. http://twitter.com/GreenBritainDay

4. Tell people. They should care. This is the biggest greenwash the country has ever seen, a huge national deception. Nuclear may become necessary but it is not Green. It is toxic and the fight against climate change is lost in their hands. They promote green but they burn oil coal and gas. EDF have to be held to account.

5. Make sure that you are not an Electricite de France (EDF) customer – it takes a couple of minutes to switch – it really does (no rewiring, just go to a website and switch. Ecotricity is the best, that’s why we worked for them. http://www.ecotricity.co.uk
